i am so pleased to be finished the "green autumn" mittens in the grey/purple mix colourway. i now have two pairs of lovely alpaca mittens. this means i can now start on the christmas knitting. first up is a pair of "ukranian " socks. the pattern is from my "folk socks

" book. i really like the look of these two colours together. i am surprised how quickly the socks are knitting up. i started them last night and worked on them this morning and am halfway done the first sock.
i also finished the "lost in the garden" canvaswork project. well almost finished. i want to add another border before i get it framed. i am pleased with how it has turned out. it is

so good to be able to see all these earrings that have been hidden away in various jewelry stashes. i also am now finished my pottery classes as well. i spent my last class trimming the vase and bowl i threw the week before and glazing all the pots i've throw this winter. i tried a few different combinations of glazes as the pots were made from three different clays. the first being grey stoneware, then danish white stoneware and also a combination of the two clays giving a swirled/striped look. i am excited to see how they will turn out.
