still stitching

although i am back at work i still find time to work on my crafts projects, thank goodness, as this keeps me on an even keel. i finished the first pair of christmas socks the day before leaving for camp/work. however, they did not turn out as expected. i discovered that 2 balls of the chosen wool is not enough yardage to produce medium to large sized socks. oops...
fortunately i know someone who wil fit these small socks quite nicely. i have started the next pair of christmas socks using 3 balls of wool to make larger sized socks. i quite like the colour
combination with the pattern "ukranian" socks.i have also been
working on "crazy dreams" for the last week. i have used up my
stash of dark brown which i have used to outline each section.
this means a trip to the stitching studio for more thread!
always a good time! beforecoming out to camp i picked up the
fleeces i had carded at rovings.the icelandic fleeces that lisa gave
me last summer are beautiful. i can hardly wait to spin them up.
but first i will need to finish up the doghair/polworth plied with
the "aurora" polworth. i also bought a nostepinne for ballwinding.
it is good to be back to work even though it does cut into my time
spent knitting, stitching and spinning!
